Admission 2014 (1st year BA/B.Sc Hons and Gen)

Distribution of forms from the college office on:
5th to 7th, 9th to 13th, 16th & 17th June, 2014
Time : 12 noon to 2pm
Price of Prospectus: Rs 100/-
Separate forms should be submitted for different subjects.

Direct admission will be held in the following subjects:
Honours : History, Political Science, Philosophy, Economics, Botany, IFF
(Major), Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
General: BA, B.Sc (Bio and General)

Dates of Direct admission: All Honours subjects and IFF : 10th to 13th & 16th June, 2014
General (BA and B.Sc): 16th to 20th June, 2014
Time: (12 noon - 2:30 pm)

Interested students for admission in Honours course should report at the respective department. Interested students for admission in General course should report at the office

Submission of forms at the college office for merit list on: 10th to 13th & 16th to 20th June, 2014
Time: 12 noon to 2:30 pm

Merit List

Merit List of selected candidates will be published on:
24.6.14 (Tuesday) after 2 pm
(for those Honours subjects where direct admission will be done, merit
list will be published subject to availability of seats after direct admission)

Dates of Admission for candidates of Merit List (All Honours subjects and IFF)

25th to 27th June, 2014
Time : 12 noon - 2:30 pm

Interested students should report at the respective departments

Eligibility Criteria

Criteria for issuing form for admission to 1st Year 2014-15

[ Except English, Bengali and Zoology, Direct admission is open ]

Subject	Criteria
Bengali	Minimum 50% marks in aggregate* and 55% marks in the subject.
English	Minimum 50% marks in aggregate* and 60% marks in the subject
History	Minimum 50% marks in aggregate* and 45% marks in the subject or 55% marks in the subject
Political Science	Minimum 50% marks in aggregate* and 45% marks in the subject or 55% marks in the subject
Philosophy	Minimum 50% marks in aggregate* and 45% marks in the subject or 55% marks in the subject
Economics	Minimum 50% marks in aggregate* and passed in Mathematics or 55% marks in the subject and passed in Mathematics
Botany	Minimum 50% marks in aggregate* and 45% marks in subject and passed in Chemistry or 55% marks in the subject and passed in Chemistry
IFF	Minimum 50% marks in aggregate* and 45% marks in Biology and passed in Chemistry or 55% marks in the subject and passed in Chemistry
Mathematics	Minimum 50% marks in aggregate* and 45% marks in subject and passed in Physics or 55% marks in the subject and passed in Physics
Chemistry	Minimum 50% marks in aggregate* and 45% marks in subject and passed in Mathematics and Physics or 55% marks in the subject and passed in Mathematics andPhysics
Physics	Minimum 50% marks in aggregate* and 45% marks in Physics (Theory) and 45% in Mathematics
Zoology	Minimum 55% marks in aggregate* and 60% marks in Biology. Must have passed Chemistry & Physics.
BA-Genl.	Pass marks in all the combination subjects
B.Sc. Genl.	Pass marks in all the combination subjects

*Aggregate = Best of 4 subjects excluding ENVS

Criteria for SC/ST category: Minimum 40% in aggregate & 40% in subject
